For eveningwear girls frequently wore full length maxi dresses, evening trousers or glamorous halter neck catsuits. Some of the dresses oozed Motown glamour, others less so.

One often worn style was the Gramps dress with a high neck. Often the stand neck was pie-crust frilled, or lace trimmed. Frequently they were made of a floral print design in a warm brushed fabric or viscose rayon crepe which draped and gathered well into empire line styles.

At a disco, 1970s girls might don hot pants. In opposition to the exhibit all mini, a girl would suddenly confound men by fully covering her legs and retort that mini dresses were an exploitation, rather than a liberation of women.

When you send out e-mails, your recipients should be able to identify that issue sending them the message. Make sure that your company or business name is in the "From" section. Always use the same name, not a new product name. Also, the subject line should be unique. It should identify who you are in an unique and clever way.

Doing this will take some time, but once you know how, it will be well worth it. Certain words will cause them to open your e-mails, and others may cause them to be deleted. Crafting an excellent subject line, not filled with hype, is a skill in and of itself. Learning how to do this is essential. Use the demographic information you collect when someone signs up for your list to better target the emails that you send out. When you send your e-mails, if they are targeted, you will get a better response. An example would be sending out an offer for a local service to only those subscribers that live nearby. Another example would be sending an offer that pertains to men only to men, and not to women on your list. Heed the demographic info and make sure that you are targeting your emails accordingly. You always want to appear to your subscribers as someone who actually cares about them, not just a salesman.

Make sure that you have a good format for your emails. Even though most people will have HTML-based e-mail capacity, some subscribers may not have this option. More importantly, not everybody wants to receive HTML based emails. As a general rule, the format that you choose should serve the majority of people. This just makes common sense. Graphics heavy and code intense emails aren’t always well received. Survey the recipients on your list to find out which emails they like the best and then just send that. In most cases, the e-mail client of the recipients can differentiate between e-mail formats. Just send HTML and plain text at the same time to solve this problem. It is actually better for you if you only send out one format instead of two.
